Fifty Shades of...... Grey

Who would have thought there'd be so many different shades of grey.... the colour that is not Christien Grey......
We made the trek to Perth and stalked the streets of Churchman Brook & Waterwheel Estates taking photos of houses that we liked. We thought we wanted a fully rendered house but we weren't totally discounting brick so we had a lot of work to do. We also visited 5 Dale Alcock displays that we spotted online in colours that we liked to see them in 'real life'. Now not only did we need to lock in our external colours, we also had to confirm our flooring as this can affect the 6 star energy rating of the house. We haven't even signed off on our final plans and we are choosing flooring! We made a visit to the Home Base Expo in Subiaco to get some flooring ideas and were pretty confident we would be getting floorboards.

Our visit the Dale Alcock Selection Centre was lots of fun! We met with our lovely Pre-Start Coordinator and confirmed our external colours - it only took 45 minutes! We confirmed a fully rendered house and managed to stick with the grey colour scheme that we like but went a shade lighter that we expected as the verandah around the house will make the render seem darker. We also added in sections of contrasting render and selected our lovely Colourbond roof colour, garage and front doors!

We were also given our Pre-Start file! Yay. While we waited for our Sales Consultant to get out of a meeting, we wandered around the amazing Selections Centre matching tiles, chose our door handles, taps and saw our awesome new range hood, hotplate and oven!

We then confirmed our last few changes of our plans which are now with the design team to finalise. As soon as we sign off on them, its onto the Drafties! Floor plan coming soon......
